Is a warm place good for your mind and body?

Here you will find a list of five ways that living in a warm climate can improve your mental and body health. The first way is that the warm weather usually comes with blue skies, it simply makes you want to get outside. When the skies are blue when you wake up in the morning and you look outside and you see sunshine, blue skies and green grass, it makes you really want to get outside. It can help improve your mental health because if you want to get outside every day, you’re gonna start doing a lot of other things in your life outside. That can really help boost your morale and make you feel good overall and not feel so down and lonely and depressed, like if you’re just looking at gray skies every day with temperatures of 20 degrees every day.
Number two, vitamin D. If you’re outside and you’re in the sunshine, your body is absorbing vitamin D which is a critical nutrient for your body to stay healthy. Keep in mind that if your body is healthy then your entire mental health is going to improve as well, because one of the things that can really bring your mental health down is if you are unhealthy physically or emotionally. Basically you can fall into depression or just have low self-esteem or things like that. It’s amazing the chemistry that goes on inside of our bodies and how much something like this can really have an effect. So just getting outside and absorbing the sunshine can have tremendous effects on your mental health as well as your physical well-being.
Number three, you’re going to meet more people and possibly make more friends. This will in turn make you feel more socially accepted, because if you live in a really cold climate, you’re kind of forced to stay home a lot. You could drive somewhere and go to a friend’s house for example, but when it’s 20 degrees outside and it’s freezing, it’s not the most incentivizing thing for you to just get up one day and want to go see your friend on the other side of town. You just don’t have the motivation to go ahead and do it, but if you’re outside on a warm sunny day, you can start talking and meet other people outside. You make friends, you find out that they have common interests with you, maybe you have a dog and you meet them in the dog park. Whatever the case might be, it can greatly improve your mental health if you feel like you have a circle of friends that you can count on and trust.
Number four, you can exercise more. Just going for a walk in the park is exercise and if you go for a walk in the park, you might see some of the exercise equipment that you can use for free and you might start using some of it. When you go outside and see other people exercising a lot like when you go to a gym, it can get you motivated to exercise. What’s definitely not motivating to exercise, is looking outside at gray skies and sitting in front of your TV eating ice cream. One of the things that makes you feel the best every single day is exercise. When you exercise on a regular basis, you get these feel-good chemicals running through your body and that makes your mental and physical health boosted throughout the day.
Finally number five, natural beauty. Most people love seeing natural beauty, if you are a mother nature lover, it would be something that makes you extremely happy. No matter what’s going on in the world or what’s happening in your own personal life, if you’re in a very tranquil setting like a pristine sunny place, you will feel so good and so peaceful. If you are into meditation for example, it would be a great place to meditate somewhere you can hear the birds chirping, see the green grass and the blue sky, feel the Sun on your body and all of these things would make you feel amazing.
